EarthEye (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an iOS app for exploring a 3D Earth with live cameras and related map layers. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

1. Summary

EarthEye is designed to keep personal data local whenever possible. We do not sell your personal information. Version 1.0 does not include ads or in-app subscriptions.

2. Information the App Uses

• Location (optional): Used only when you tap Locate, to place you on the globe. You can deny location access and still use the app.
• Photo Library (optional): Used only if you choose to save a shared image to Photos.
• Favorites: Favorite camera IDs are stored locally on your device.

3. Network Requests & Third-Party Content

To show live cameras, weather, wildlife, and other map layers, the app requests public data from third-party services (for example webcam providers, weather services, and open scientific/map data sources). Those providers may receive standard technical request information such as IP address and device user-agent, as with any internet request. Live camera streams are hosted by third parties and may be unavailable at times.

4. Analytics & Advertising

EarthEye 1.0 does not use third-party advertising SDKs or behavior-tracking analytics for monetization. If ads or subscriptions are added in a future version, this policy will be updated before those features ship.

5. Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Data Retention

Local favorites and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. We do not operate an EarthEye account system in 1.0.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
